Winter 2008 Edition Happy New Year! Make 2008 the year that you finally achieve that special goal! This issue of Perspectives will show you how to move closer to fulfilling your dreams as the new year unfolds. Focusing on Your New Future
Whether your most precious goal involves your business, a career change or a personal dream, you can cross the finish line if you take a few purposeful steps right now to create a structure for success. A Fresh Idea Instead of listing your New Year's resolutions, write affirmations that assume a positive outcome. For example, if you want to reduce debt, write "I am in excellent financial shape," or "An abundance of resources meets my needs." If your goal is to find a new job, write "The right opportunity is coming to me," or "I will have many job opportunities to consider." Read invigorating, positive statements like these daily and watch your motivation grow! This Fresh Idea was inspired by Stephanie Shelburne, PhD(c), CMT of Bod*ecology. The year ahead may look as fresh as a mountain covered in white powder, but don't let your 2008 to-do list snowball! Try this exercise to identify the tasks that will best serve you and your goals for the year. Perspectives is a quarterly newsletter delivering valued information and resources to the Fresh Perspective community. Your feedback is always welcome at news@freshperspectivecoaching.com. |
